Juventus coach Max Allegri allegedly lashed out at Inter executives following the Coppa Italia match at San Siro: ‘You’re s***, you’re going to finish sixth anyway.’ It’s the latest in a series of incidents involving the two clubs during the semi-finals of the Italian Cup, with Romelu Lukaku being subject to racist abuse at the Juventus Stadium.
La Gazzetta dello Sport write (as quoted by CalcioeFinanza) that there was yet more controversy surrounding one of the biggest matches in Italy, this time the protagonist being Juventus coach Massimiliano Allegri, who allegedly lashed out in the San Siro underpass upon returning to the dressing rooms after the game was over.
The coach first lashed out at Inter manager Dario Baccin, with whom there had also been rifts in the first leg. Baccin had been fined because he had taken to the pitch at the end of the game during the sending off of Samir Handanovic and Romelu Lukaku.
Those who were around last night recounted that Allegri railed against everyone, and even lashed out at Nerazzurri CEO Giuseppe Marotta, with whom he worked at Juventus and with whom he has always had a great relationship.
Allegri is alleged to have shouted, “You guys are sh**, you’ll finish sixth this season”, before entering his locker room and reprimanding his own players with ‘very harsh words’ for the bad performance and defeat.
The coach then told his players: “We have to get ahead of them in the league, we must not let them get to the Champions League.” It is unclear whether any of the federal inspectors heard and whether any of this will end up on the referee’s report.
