Milan star Rafael Leão has now accepted the financial package on offer from the Rossoneri for a new deal involving the Portuguese.
Luca Bianchin and Carlo Laudisa have released positive updates regarding Leão’s long-term future at Milan, stating that the Portuguese accepted Milan’s financial offer for the new deal last week and he has agreed to earn €7 million net per season for the next five years. Another positive development in the situation has been that Milan have found a breakthrough with Lille, who are willing to pay the fine due to Sporting.
Milan are now working hard to close the deal as soon as possible, with club CEO Giorgio Furlani working closely with Paolo Maldini and Ricky Massara to make sure that somehow, the Rossoneri seal the new contract before the Champions League tie against Inter.
The Portuguese is expected to be on the bench against Cremonese today, with Stefano Pioli keen on making sure that he rests for the vital games coming up.
