After a group of Paris Saint-Germain ultras showed up at Neymar’s house yesterday afternoon to call for his departure from the club, the Brazilian took to Instagram to respond.
The forward first posted a cryptic but inoffensive message – “Don’t allow for people to put you in their storm, but put them in your peace” – before liking a reel in which a Brazilian user, Ofuiclear, is particularly critical of Kylian Mbappé. In the video, the France captain is branded as a “prince” whose renewal led to the current PSG team being “the worst of the last few years”.
The user notably points out an attacking move in the Champions League Round of 16 tie against Bayern Munich, in which he believes Mbappé should have squared the ball to his Brazilian teammate instead of shooting. The PSG fans and management are also criticised. The individual claims PSG had “forced” Mbappé’s status as a leader onto the dressing room, and calls on the fans to protest against against the management instead of Lionel Messi and Neymar.
The former Santos man, who is out for the rest of the season as he continues to recover from ankle ligament surgery, registered 13 goals and 11 assists in his 20 league appearances this year. He remains under contract with the Ligue 1 leaders until the end of the 2026/27 season.
