Milan star Rafael Leão is set to sign a new deal with the club and it will have a hefty release clause.

Daniele Longo has reported that the contract extension for the Portuguese star will be announced after the next two days, with the player signing the deal till the summer of 2028. He will earn €7 million per season in the new deal, which is a big upgrade on what he was earning.

The journalist has also tweeted that the release clause in his contract will be much higher than the clause which existed in his previous deal. This means that the new deal will have a release clause of over €150 million.

He was linked with a move to the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City last summer but it has been reported that his keenness about staying at Milan has proved to be a vital move in his signature of a new deal.
