Having struggled to make his mark in a tumultuous first season at the Parc des Princes, young French forward Hugo Ekitike now looks to be leaving Paris Saint-Germain this summer, at least temporarily.
The former Reims man is on loan from the Champagne club, in a deal that will become permanent at the end of the season. In the limited game times he has seen come his way – he competes with none other than Kylian Mbappé and Lionel Messi for a starting spot – he has found the net three times, and provided three assists.
With an offer already on its way for young defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu, Eintracht Frankfurt have also made a move for Ekitike, according to L’Équipe. The Bundesliga side’s sporting director Markus Krösche was in Paris in the last few weeks, and has made a loan offer for the French youth international – although the forward himself wants to stay and fight for his place , as evidenced by his presence in training even on last Monday’s day off.
