Gatti: ‘We will make it difficult for Sevilla’

Juventus defender Federico Gatti believes the teams attitude will be vital in the return leg match against Sevilla: ‘It will be very hard for them.’ The centre-back scored a 97th minute equaliser to keep the Old Lady’s hopes alive ahead of the second-leg match in Seville next week. Speaking with RAI post-game, the 24-year-old explained why next weeks match will be the most important game of the season to date, and why the team will fight for every ball as if it were their last:

You won the penalty against Freiburg, then scored the goal against Sporting Lisbon, and tonight another goal that really keeps Juventus alive.

“Yes, it’s very valuable, but it becomes void if we don’t go through on the return leg, so that’s the most important thing. Let’s say that it will be very hard for them, but we’re alive”.

What’s the regret tonight?

“If I lose that I’m dead! Regret?… no… because we have the return leg where we really play our lives, so that’s the most important game”.

You don’t forget where you came from, this is your drive…

“We have to focus on the present, we have a very tough match on Sunday and then Thursday is the most important match of the season”.

The penalty on Rabiot?

“I don’t know because from the pitch I didn’t see that much, I saw Adri who has a few cuts on his leg, but I didn’t see him, he seemed so… it was dubious, come on”.

What will Juventus have to change in Seville?

“Attitude will be fundamental because I repeat, it will be very hard for them, we should play every ball as if it were our last”.
