Liverpool are looking for a new sporting director but the Reds recently met failure in their attempts to hire Napoli sporting director Cristiano Guintoli, who seems keen on joining Juventus.
Alfredo Pedulla has reported about Guintoli’s future, stating that Guintoli is close to joining the Bianconeri but that has not stopped clubs from abroad showing interest in the Partenopei sporting director and going further with their liking for the Italian.
While Chelsea and Tottenham were linked with a move for Guintoli some days ago, Liverpool were also keen. In the last few weeks, the Reds tried to sign Guintoli but any move failed to materialise. The 51-year-old is keen on joining Juve, who are also close to sealing the move for him.
His transfer to the Old Lady is only pending the green signal from Aurelio de Laurentiis, with whom negotiations about a reduced compensation fee are already underway as contacts started some days ago.
