Football FanCast brings you the latest Rangers transfer rumours and Ibrox updates ahead of Michael Beale’s first full season in charge.
Jose Cifuentes deal close
Fabrizio Romano: Rangers are closing in on a move for Ecuadorian midfielder Jose Cifuentes according to Romano, with his agents meeting with the Ibrox side a few days ago in order to work out a deal.
His contract expires in December 2023 and the Gers could secure his signing this summer for a knockdown fee ahead of the 2023/24 season.
Rangers may miss out on Butland
Scottish Sun: Rangers could miss out on goalkeeper Jack Butland this summer, as Manchester United want him to stay at Old Trafford beyond his loan spell.
The Gers were looking to sign the Englishman on a free transfer as his contract at Crystal Palace is expiring in a few weeks, with first-team football in Scotland looking like it could clinch a move, however, United are ready to double his salary, potentially derailing any potential move.
Kent close to Fenerbahce
Tuttomercatoweb: Gers winger Ryan Kent is close to securing a move to Turkish side Fenerbahce in the summer transfer window as his contract with the Ibrox runs down, although they aren’t the only team interested in the former Liverpool ace.
As relayed by the Daily Record, he has had offers from Serie A sides Udinese and Bologna, but has decided to move to the Turkish giants, ending his five-year association with the Gers.
