Manchester City have enquired about Paris Saint-Germain midfielder and Italy international Marco Verratti (30), according to a report from Le Parisien.
The eight-time Ligue 1 winner with Les Parisiens is said to be considering a departure from the French capital, whilst the club would also be opening to selling him. Despite signing a new contract recently, keeping him at the club until 2026, Verratti isn’t hiding his desire to move on as he considers the criticism he is currently facing to be unfair. PSG Sporting Advisor Luís Campos would be open to letting him go should the club were to receive a significant bid. The Italian’s frustration has not gone unnoticed by Europe’s top clubs.
The outlet reports that several clubs, including the Cityzens, have enquired about the Euro 2021 winner’s situation. However, Le Parisien report that Verratti hasn’t made a final decision on a departure, although he is open to a new challenge. The Italian international is reportedly still prioritising an extended stay with PSG, with which he is tied until 2026.
