FC Toulouse have announced the departures of four of their most important players, as their contracts were due to expire next month. Dutch midfielder Branco van den Boomen (27), who was voted Ligue 1 central midfielder of the year by Get French Football News, is among them.
His fellow countryman Stijn Spierings (27) will also follow suit, as well as Toulouse goalkeeper Maxime Dupé (30) and Belgian club captain Brecht Dejaegere (31). The Occitanie side have anticipated this and are set to wrap up the signing of Spanish midfielder César Gelabert (22).
Le Club confirme les départs en fin de saison de 4 de ses Violets.
Brecht, Branco, Max, Stijn, vous êtes devenus des légendes du TéFéCé.

13th-placed Toulouse have announced that a special tribute will be paid to these four “TéFéCé legends” after Les Violets‘ home game against Auxerre on Saturday night. Toulouse’s season has been one to remember. Following last year’s promotion, Philippe Montanier’s side have kept their Ligue 1 status with ease and went on to win the Coupe de France by hammering Nantes 5-1 in the final. Toulouse have qualified for next season’s Europa League group stage.
