Monaco predicted XI v Rennes: Eliesse Ben Seghir to return to starting line-up

AS Monaco face Stade Rennais in a crucial match in the race for the European races. Les Monégasques could take a huge step towards ensuring Europa League football for next season in case of victory, but should they lose, Philippe Clement’s side could fall out of the European places altogether.

Clement has no fresh injury concerns for the match against Rennes. Myron Boadu remains sidelined after he picked up a muscular injury against Lille OSC a fortnight ago; it is almost certain that we won’t see the Dutch forward again this season. Malang Sarr also won’t feature for the Principality club this season after undergoing surgery. It is also doubtful whether Monaco will trigger the purchase option included in the Chelsea loanee’s contract.

Having dropped the bench in recent matches, Eliesse Ben Seghir could return to the starting lineup, where he could form a front three alongside Wissam Ben Yedder and Aleksandr Golovin.

Likely Monaco XI v Rennes

Alexander Nübel – Guillermo Maripán, Chrislain Matsima, Axel Disasi – Caio Henrique, Mohamed Camara, Youssouf Fofana, Vanderson – Aleksandr Golovin, Wissam Ben Yedder, Eliesse Ben Seghir. (L’Éq)
