Leonardo Bonucci slams Juventus and Max Allegri in fiery interview

Former Juventus defender Leonardo Bonucci has come out all guns blazing in a fiery interview against the Bianconeri management and manager Max Allegri.

Bonucci has already decided to take legal action against the club for tarnishing his image and refusing access to certain facilities during the last few days at the Bianconeri. He was informed before pre-season started off that he is not part of the club’s plans and he was left behind, when the rest of the squad flew to the United States.

He has now come up with some scathing comments in a fiery interview with Sportmediaset. He believes that the ‘humiliation’ aimed against him came from both the management and manager Max Allegri.

The 36-year-old said: “I have read and heard untrue things said by Juventus and the coach. It is false that in October and February I was informed of the intention to interrupt the relationship at the end of the season. Indeed, at the end of May I had given my availability to be the fifth/sixth choice in defence.”

Bonucci further stated that he respects the solidarity he has received from multiple current and former Juve players, when it comes to his situation.

“I smelled something just reading it in the newspapers until on 13 July Giuntoli and Manna informed me, coming to my house, that I would no longer be part of the Juventus squad and that my presence on the pitch would hinder the growth of the team. This was the humiliation I suffered after 500 or so matches in black and white. I appreciated the solidarity of many players, including current ones, from Juve and other clubs. They all expressed their sympathy for the disrespectful behavior of society.”

Bonucci will take legal action against Juve and any earnings from the case will be donated to charities in Italy, as it has been already confirmed.
