Luis Enrique: “I’m not worried about being given time at PSG, my work speaks for itself.”

As Paris Saint-Germain prepares up for a UEFA Champions League clash against Dortmund, coach Luis Enrique remains unfazed by the club’s somewhat mixed start to the season (two wins, two draws, and one loss). The Spanish tactician, who took over from Christophe Galtier during the summer, spoke during a press conference attended to by RMC Sport.

Enrique acknowledged Les Parisiens’  less-than-perfect start, stating, “It’s true that we didn’t start the season extremely well.” Despite the initial hurdles, Luis Enrique is pleased with the squad’s receptiveness and eagerness to embrace his coaching philosophy. “I find a very receptive team; they have a lot of desire and want to adopt the staff’s ideas,” he enthused. “I am delighted with the players’ behavior.”

Drawing from his previous experience at Barcelona and Spain, he understands that building a successful team takes time. “I have already experienced this process, which requires time. Time is wonderful, but I’m not asking for it because I know how it works,” he remarked.

As a former Barcelona manager who clinched the UEFA Champions League title in 2015, Luis Enrique is focusing on his coaching approach and the importance of conveying his message to the squad. He remains unperturbed about the pressure surrounding the PSG job stating, “I’m not worried about being given time. My work speaks for itself, and my way of working is clear to me. If the results are poor, we’ll see. I know this as a coach; I live it day by day.”
