Serie A giants Napoli could now soon resume contract talks with striker Victor Osimhen, who is currently out of action due to injury.
The Nigerian will probably return to first team football towards the end of next month, as he picked up an injury during the international break. But Il Mattino (via TMW) report that with Napoli having allowed Osimhen to spend a few days back at his home in Nigeria, the move from the club has gone down well with the Partenopei.
Now, talks could resume with Aurelio de Laurentiis, who held talks previously with Osimhen’s agent but there seems to be a discrepancy about who pulled out of the talks when they were advanceed.
There is a feeling at the club that Osimhen’s time at the club has ended and he wants to try out another league, which is likely to be the Premier League. De Laurentiis will somehow make sure that if Osimhen signs a new deal, Napoli earn over 100 million from the striker’s sale.
