Bayern Munich must be looking at England captain Harry Kane as a steal considering how many goals and assists he has already contributed to the team. He was a great player at Tottenham Hotspur F.C., but he is showing in Bavaria even more why he is in the race for the best striker in the world. Despite Manchester City’s Erling Haaland scoring goals left and right as well, former Liverpool F.C and Chelsea F.C. striker Daniel Sturridge weighed in on the question “Kane or Haaland?” in an interview with Sky Sports as captured by @iMiaSanMia:
“Harry is the most complete. I don’t think that’s a discussion. I think he’s the most complete. I think, Haaland, though, he brings a fear factor. I have asked a few of my former teammates, people I have played with, about this. I feel like, the defenders, for me, they have a different level of fear and power of Haaland. I think when they are playing against Harry, they know what he is capable of, all-round game, different class. They know that he’s going to score goals. I don’t think at this stage Haaland’s a better finisher than Kane. I would say Kane both feet probably still edges Haaland right now.”
This surely is an interesting comparison. It is undeniable that Haaland has been on a rampage, especially in the Premier League and in the Champions League. A strong team became an even greater menace when the Norwegian joined the Citizens and he won the Henkelpott in his first season in England. Kane may not have man trophies to his name, but it appears that his mere presence elevates a team’s game. The Englishman’s finishing is currently second to none. His unselfish and outstanding ability to hold onto the ball and accentuate his teammates perhaps gives him the edge. He could very well become the face of the Bundesliga.
