Olympique Lyonnais might be on the verge of finding their first winter signing for the upcoming winter transfer window, which will open its doors on the first of January 2024.
Indeed, according to Mohamed Toubache-Ter, OL has reached an agreement with a French midfielder, though his name has yet to be revealed. Les Gones will definitely be looking to strengthen their squad after a catastrophic start to the season, and the midfield seems to be a priority in the reconstruction of the squad.
Rennes midfielder Baptiste Santamaria (28) is rumoured to be among the potential candidates to sign for John Textor’s side, notably due to the Frenchman already having been linked to the club during the summer transfer window, as they were already after a new holding midfielder at the tile.
Santamaria joined Stade Rennais back in the Summer of 2021, after a short spell over in the Bundesliga, and has since been a very consistent performer in Bruno Genesio’s midfield, though this season he has seen a considerable decrease in his game time, due perhaps to the arrival of new midfield signings Fabian Rieder (21) and Enzo Le Fée (23).
